Our Story
GlogauAIR is a unique non-profit art space and residency, established by Chema Alvargonzalez and now supported by Memoria Artística Chema Alvargonzalez, nestled in the heart of Berlin’s Kreuzberg district.
Housed in a historic building designed by Ludwig Hoffmann in 1896, GlogauAIR stands as a beacon for international artists, providing a space to explore, create, and exhibit in one of the world’s leading cities for contemporary culture.

Our Mission
True to the vision of our founder, Chema Alvargonzalez, GlogauAIR Community is dedicated to openness, the exchange of ideas, and the support of local and international contemporary art practices. We provide a space that fosters exploration, creation, and dialogue—from our thirteen studios in Berlin to artists’ homes and studios across the globe.
